Russian and Georgian Medieval Painting from A. Ovchinnikov’s Heritage in Tretyakov Gallery

To find out what ancient Russian frescoes and icons, now lost, looked like, is possible in the Tretyakov Gallery on Krymsky Val, where the Russian and Georgian Medieval Painting from A. Ovchinnikov’s Heritage exhibition presents works of the famous restorer Adolf Ovchinnikov.

The Russian and Georgian Medieval Painting from A. Ovchinnikov’s Heritage is being held at the Tretyakov Gallery on Krymsky Val.

The exhibition is dedicated to the famous restorer and researcher of ancient monuments Adolf Ovchinnikov.

Visitors can see copies of Russian and Georgian frescoes and icons created by Ovchinnikov, thanks to which it is possible to see what ancient fresco ensembles and lost icons looked like.

The exhibition also includes icons from the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery.

The exhibition works until April 14.
