This year ticks appeared in 14 more regions of Russia

In 2012 tick-bites were registered in 78 regions of Russia in comparison to 64 regions in 2012, despite the fact that summer hasn’t started yet. The concentration of virus in parasites today is 5.8%. This is the share of ticks which are encephalitis carriers; and it is a rather high level. The major state sanitary doctor of Russia Gennady Onishchenko thinks that Russians should solve the problem by themselves, hiring private and state structures.
