The 7th Moscow International Festival "Traditions and Modernity"

The 7th Moscow International Festival “Traditions and Modernity” opened on the 26th of June in the Central House of Artists. The festival is a significant event for the cultural life of the capital. More than 300 artists will present their work to the audience. Representatives of 21 countries, including Armenia and Azerbaijan, gathered together. Traditionaly, the masters of art of Russia, and the whole post-Soviet space, Tair Salakhov and Zurab Tseriteli, are taking part in the festival.

The culmination of the festival will be the awarding of the professional prize – the bronze statuette “Vera.” The winners will be chosen in 8 nominations: painting, graphics, sculpture, photography, installation, decorative art, architecture, and museology. The award ceremony will take place on July 1s in the theatre Et Cetera. The ceremony will be attended by socio-political activists, representatives of intelligentsia, and diplomats.  

Vera Kiselyova, the President of the Moscow Public Fund for Support and Development of Culture of Modern Art opened the Festival.
