During the "Arab Spring", Egyptians toppled Hosni Mubarak. The new president was a representative of the movement "Muslim Brotherhood", Mohammed Morsi.

But he was unable to improve the lives of the people. The country, instead of raising living standards and democratization, began the process of Islamization.

Those who ruled the country until the overthrow of President Mohamed Morsi, the "Muslim Brotherhood", ignored the opposition and refused investment, even from the Arab countries.

Together with a reduction in the flow of tourists the difficult economic situation contributed to the growth of their dissatisfaction with the policy in the country. This led to mass protests and discontent of the people.
