E. Kozhokin: "The war lasted for 5 days and no more"

On the eve of the fifth anniversary of the five-day war in South Ossetia, rector of the Academy of Labor and Social Affairs Yevgeni Kozhokin told Vestnik Kavkaza about the results and prospects of the development of the region during this time. According to him, participation in the five-day war helped Russia to strengthen its position both in the North and in the South Caucasus. "In the North Caucasus, beyond any doubt, these five days have meant that the authority of Moscow grew. We have demonstrated that at critical moments we have political will, we have the ability to defend our interests and our allies. As for the South Caucasus, the first reaction was quite tense, but overall I must say that we won," the expert said.
