Russian circus may cease to exist

At a meeting on August 1st, Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets gave a written order to develop a scheme to remove the public Vladivostok and Krasnodar circuses from the Russian State Circus Company and to transfer them to the regional bodies.

This decision has caused uproar in the circus community. During a round-table discussion held in the press center of RIA Novosti, the speakers explained why it is so important to preserve the unity of the Russian circus.
