Chairman of the Islamic Committee of Russia Heydar Jemal commented on the current situation in Egypt. A wave of unrest swept Egypt in August after a police crackdown on the camps of Morsi supporters. However, the police warned the protesters that it will prevent all illegal activities. Violent clashes between security forces and Islamists are occuring in several Egyptian cities in addition to Cairo. Mass demonstrations and riots of supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood, who are protesting against the new authorities, continue in Cairo, Giza, Egypt and other provinces. According to the UN, they have killed and injured more than 600 people. The country has declared a state of emergency.
