However, the director of the Center for Global Energy Markets of the Energy Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Vyacheslav Kulagin, believes that a large spike in the oil sector is not expected. According to the analyst, Syria is not a key player in this market, but because of its geographical position that state can compete with Turkey.
