Vyacheslav Gobozov: "South Ossetia is not afraid of a possible rapprochement between Russia and Georgia"

The Russian Institute of Strategic Studies held an international conference "Geopolitical results of the "August War": Lessons and Challenges." The purpose of the event was to reach a better understanding of the results of the "August War" in 2008, of the current state of Georgian-Ossetian and Georgian-Russian relations, as well as of various political trends in the Greater Caucasus. The August war in South Ossetia ended a while ago, and now it is time to draw some conclusions. The Chairman of the State Committee for Information and Press of South Ossetia, Vyacheslav Gobozov, noted several aspects of the geopolitical results of Georgia's aggression against South Ossetia and the subsequent operation to force the aggressor to peace and the recognition of the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia by Russia. Vyacheslav Gobozov also spoke about the current situation in South Ossetia five years after the war of independence.
