An expert at the center for the Study of Central Asia and the Caucasus at the Institute of Oriental Studies, researcher at the Institute of Political and Social Studies of the Black Sea and Caspian Sea region, Andrey Areshev, believes that the opening of the Abkhaz railway will be beneficial to the entire region. The normalization of communications will provide an impetus to the entire South Caucasus region.
