Alexander Brod: “Migration problems should be resolved as part of a general plan”

Vladimir Zorin, First Deputy Director of the Institute for Ethnology and Anthropology of the RAS, Member of the Public Council of the FMS, and Alexander Brod, Member of the Presidential Council for Development of Civil Society and Human Rights, Director of Moscow Human Rights Bureau, speak about aspects of appropriate adaptation of migrants.

On February 10 at a meeting with the Public Council on the preparations for the Olympic Games 2014, Russian President Vladimir Putin said: "The culture of coexistence and the culture of feeling part of something large, as well as the feeling of understanding of great luck in representatives of small and large ethnic groups from the fact that we all live in one big strong country is still a very important factor in the strength, stability and development of the Russian state." All the nations in the multinational Russian family have their own cultures, religions, traditions and languages, but as part of one country all the nations of vast Russia have equal rights and opportunities. Nowadays, migration of people around the country is becoming more complex: people migrate for the purpose of education, marriage and finding a new job.
