Oleg Preksin, the vice-president of the Association of Russian Banks, the deputy chairman of the Committee on International Cooperation of the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs and Businessmen, speaks about the influence of sanctions on the Russian financial system. A new packet of sanctions of the EU against Russia came into operation on August 1st. On August 6th, 2014, the President of Russia called for the interests of domestic producers to be provided for in the context of the EU and the USA’s sanctions against Russia. The government is developing a list of goods which will be forbidden to import into Russia.
