The chairman of the Russian Fruit Growers Union, Oleg Valenchuk, speaks about the effect of sanctions on the agriculture of Russia. On August 6th, 2014, the President of Russia called for the interests of domestic producers to be provided for in the context of the EU and the USA’s sanctions against Russia. The government has developed a list of goods which will be forbidden to import into Russia.
