The chair of the Russian Potato Union, Sergey Lupekhin, speaks about Russia’s measures in response to Western sanctions. He is deeply concerned about a domino effect in the sanctions. On August 6th, 2014, the President of Russia called for the interests of domestic producers to be provided for in the context of the EU and the USA’s sanctions against Russia. The government has developed a list of goods which will be forbidden to import into Russia.
