The Olympics for 14-18-year old athletes will take place in Nanjing from August 16 to 28. Five wrestlers will represent the Russian national wrestling team. According to the rules, each country can send five wrestlers to the Games: two freestyle wrestlers, two classical wrestlers, and one female wrestler. Russian athletes received licenses for all five positions. Alexander Karelin, three times Olympic champion, a member of the State Duma, and Omar Murtazaliyev, vice president of the Russian Sport Wrestling Federation, wished all the best to the athletes.
