Konstantin Simonov: "We should not expect easing of sanctions"

The director general of the National Energy Security Fund, Konstantin Simonov, talks about the impact of sanctions introduced by the European Union on the Russian oil and gas sector. The expert believes that we should not expect a rapid improvement in relations and that Russia should rely on its own inner resources. Another package of EU sanctions was introduced on September 12. The EU has banned European companies from providing services to Russian partners in exploration and production of deepwater and Arctic oil and shale oil projects. Earlier, EU sanctions affected supplies of high-tech equipment used in the oil sector to Russia.
