Yuri Rogulev, the director of the Center for USA Studies n.a. F.D. Roosevelt, speaks about aspects which influence the foreign political course of the US. Sergei Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, stated at a press conference on January 21st that “the Americans took a course for confrontation, taking thoughtless steps. And the statement by President Obama shows that their philosophy has one idea only: “We are number one.” These words were a reaction to the US President’s statement on “tearing apart” the Russian economy by strong US forces and consolidated activities with American allies.
