Alexei Fenenko: “Russia and the US are starting a dirty game”

Alexei Fesenko, the senior scientist of the Institute of International Security Problems of the RAS, speaks about the main goal of the U.S. toward Russia and stresses that a dirty game is starting between the two countries. Sergei Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, stated at a press conference on January 21st that “the Americans took a course for confrontation, taking thoughtless steps. And the statement by President Obama shows that their philosophy has one idea only: 'We are number one.'" These words were a reaction to the US President’s statement on “tearing apart” the Russian economy by strong US forces and consolidated activities with American allies.
