The first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, Vladimir Nikitin, commented on the signing of the peace agreements that were reached at the talks in Minsk, where the meeting ended with the leaders of Germany, Russia, France and Ukraine resolving the situation in the Donbas. The negotiations lasted nearly 16 hours and resulted in the long-awaited news of a planned "comprehensive" ceasefire in the east of Ukraine from midnight of February 15.
