Lazar: "Jews in the Caucasus have always lived comfortably"

Chief Rabbi of Russia, Berel Lazar, speaking of the Jewish communities in the Caucasus, said that Jews have always lived there comfortably, were confident, communities befriended each other, and there have always been points of contact. According to the Chief Rabbi, it is very important today to again raise the level of the Caucasus Jewish life and the level of the Jewish community, and that a Jewish center and synagogue should be built in every city.
