Patriarch awarded title of Honorary Doctor of Diplomatic Academy

On the 30th of April, Patriarch Kirill was awarded the title of the Honorary Doctor of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ceremony was attended by the ambassadors of foreign states, employees of the diplomatic corps, higher-education teaching personnel of the University. The head of the Russian Orthodox Church highly evaluated the activity of the university and called it ‘‘workshop’’ of the political elite of the country. In his speech, His Holiness gave special attention to the problems of Christianity in the Middle East.
