Elmar Mammadyarov’s visit to Moscow

The head of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov is, officially visiting Russia. During the trip, the Minister has held negotiations with his Russian colleague Sergei Lavrov. The meeting took place behind closed doors. Ahead of the talks, the Russian Foreign Minister expressed condolences to the Azerbaijani delegation on a recent fire in Baku, in which 14 people died. As a result of the meeting, the sides signed a plan of consultations between the ministries for the next few years. Later the ministers held a press conference, during which they touched on a wide spectrum of bilateral cooperation, key aspects of regional and international agenda, and the problem of Nagorno-Karabakh.
