Alexander Krylov: "After Russian intervention, the situation in Syria began to change"

The Leading Researcher of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations, the President of the Scientific Society of Caucasus Studies, Alexander Krylov, assessed the current situation in the Middle East and also noted that after the Russian intervention in Syria the situation has changed radically. On September 30th Russia began a military air operation against Islamic State in Syria. The entry of the Russian Federation into the fight against ISIS is a preventive measure taken to prevent the infiltration of terrorists to the territory of Russia, and to the territory of its partners in the CIS, EAEC and CSTO.
