Lyudmila Kostkina: "Today there is a restructuring of the entire system of social assistance"

The First Deputy Chairwoman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy, Lyudmila Kostkina, talking about the introduction of the new law on the provision of social support, which entered into force on January 1st 2016, told how at the moment the work of the social assistance systems is lined up, as well as pointing out the problem areas in this field. According to the document, the regions were granted the right to independently develop the criteria of need. Nevertheless, many experts insist that the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection should developed uniform criteria for the entire country.
