Mehdi Sanai: "Solution to the Palestinian problem must be dealt with at the regional level"

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Iran to the Russian Federation, Mehdi Sanai, on the threshold of the International Day of Al-Quds, which this year is to be celebrated on the 10th of July, said what is necessary to do for a just solution to the key issues of the Palestinian-Israeli settlement. The International Day of Al-Quds (the Arabic name for Jerusalem) was established in 1979 on the initiative of the Iranian leader Ayatollah Khomeini in solidarity with the Palestinian people, who were fighting for their rights. Its main goal is to draw public attention to humanitarian issues of the center of three world religions, and promote peaceful solutions to the Palestinian problem on the basis of UN resolutions and initiatives of international diplomacy.
