Polad Bulbuloglu: "January 20th will forever remain in the memory of the Azerbaijani people as 'Black January'"

The embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Russian Federation hosted an event dedicated to the 26th anniversary of the January 20th tragedy. On the night from January 19th to 20th of 1990, the Soviet army committed a terrible and cruel criminal act in Baku. As a result, this day, which went down in history as 'Black January', claimed the lives of 132 people (another 612 were injured, 841 were illegally arrested). The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Russia, Polad Bulbuloglu, spoke about the bloody events of that day and emphasized the historical significance of the press conference of the national leader, Heydar Aliyev, at the Azerbaijani embassy in Moscow.
