"According to the Israeli intelligence services, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is preparing to use chemical weapons against his own people," the article begins.
The author of the article cites Aviv Kokhavi, the Israeli intelligence chief, as saying that al-Assad is considering usage of weapons of mass destruction as his army is approaching its collapase and the rebels now control two thirds of the country's territory.
The Israeli official also said that Iran and Hezbollah have their own military contigents in Syria, the author informs.
