"Khamenei blasts 'evil Zionist regime' for sowing discord among Muslims," an article wih such a headline was publsihed by The Jerusalem Post.
"Iran's supreme leader accused Israel on Tuesday of sowing dissension and pitting Muslims against one another in Syria," the article begins.
Khamenei took to Twitter on Tuesday to denounce the "policy of the enemies of Islam to stir up fratricide and civil war in the Islamic countries," the authors of the article inform.
In an apparent reference to Western-backed rebels in Syria, the Iranian leader wrote: "Some in the name of Muslims are hand in hand w/devils & consented to be an ally of evil Zionist regime to beat their brothers to ground," the newspaper informs.
"Western analysts believe that Israel is aiding rebels fighting the regime of President Bashar Assad, particularly the secular forces that have made inroads near the border that separates Syria from the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights," the article reads.
