World press on Israeli operation in Gaza (July 24, 2014)

"Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Thursday that Israel will continue Operation Protective Edge in Gaza with full force, giving no indication that a cease-fire was in the offing," an article published by the Jerusalem Post reads.

"Speaking ahead of a special cabinet meeting, the prime minister said that the IDF has delivered a powerful blow to Hamas infrastructure over the course of the 17 day operation," the newspaper reports.

"We are continuing the operation in full strength," the head of the Israeli cabinet said, adding that the IDF was making big gains in Gaza.

The Prime Minister also trumpeted Israel's diplomatic gains, in successfully convincing US aviation authorities to resume flights to and from Ben-Gurion Airport, despite their concerns of the ongoing rocket threat from Gaza, the newspaper reports.

The head of the Israeli government also lamented the loss of 32 Israeli soldiers since the ground incursion into Gaza began one week ago, the Jeruslaem Post reports.

"In the name of all the people of Israel, I express deep condolences to the families, the fathers and mothers, of our soldiers that have died protecting our country," Prime Minister Netanyahu is quoted as saying.
