The expert noted that "Germany is one of those countries that have a very low profile provided by the relevant parties, especially the CDU led by Angela Merkel, regarding Turkey's accession, that is one of the largest European and Asian countries, 80 million people live there, the same number as in Germany. Therefore we can say that the EU and Germany are trying to soften, flirt with Turkey, to win the country over. First of all through negotiations, so Turkey will continue to cooperate with the EU and take a part of the illegal migration flows.’’
Toporin urged not to forget that illegal immigration context is associated with all the problems that exist in the Middle East and North Africa.
