Russia is working with migrants better than Europe

Over the past six months the flow of illegal migrants from the Middle East and Africa to Europe has grown dramatically,  after 100 thousand migrants more arrived in six months to the EU than during the whole of last year. Greece, Italy, Macedonia, used by illegal migrants as transit corridors, cannot cope with such volumes of arrivals. A Deputy Director of the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, member of the Council on International Relations under the Russian President, Vladimir Zorin, said that Russia is the second country in the world in terms of migration, and it is experiencing the same difficulties as today’s Europe.

''The situation is that last year 620 thousand people asked for asylum in Europe. Only asylum. Now this figure is growing, and there is a very serious influx of migrants, for which Europe has not been ready. The old policy of multiculturalism, which has been developed and supported for a long time, not only isn’t working any more, " Zorin said.

According to him, it came the most serious test of the Schengen Zone since its introduction: "That is something that has always been attractive to the world, the Schengen Zone, the possibility of travel, crossing the territory of the European Union, now it is threatened by a very serious blow.’’

Zorin believes that the most attractive state for migrants are Germany, Italy, France, Hungary and the United Kingdom they cannot agree on a common policy, and everyone, if I may say so, escapes alone and resolves their own problems. The only message that has come is that the French and the British agreed in Calais that they would develop a common policy towards overcoming this underwater tunnel under the English Channel, and so on. But in general, everyone is saving themselves alone. Objectively, the main principle of the EU is broken, the thing is that the migrants are being decided and sorted, thereby this violates the fundamental principle of the equality of the individual, regardless of race or nationality, " the expert believes.

According to him, there is a real threat of  terrorists arriving among the migrants, presenting a terrorist threat. This is very serious.

The West has started wondering whether the migrants are contributing to the economy. We have no further questions, we are still aware that they contribute to the economy, and then there is a question. And even more, there are voices calling to stop being politically correct and look at the crime statistics on the situation.

"Most importantly, there is so much bureaucracy in a very operational situation, slow decision-making, and people are dying, people are drowning. Against the background of what is happening in Europe today, we understand what level of quality our FMS has today and what is the level of consistency of all public authorities, in contrast to what is happening in Europe today. "  Zorin said.
