86% of Azerbaijanis support Islamic Solidarity Games being held in Baku

The first ever European Games held in Baku on June 12-28 had a positive effect on support for the Islamic Solidarity Games to be organized in Baku among Azerbaijanis.

The poll conducted on July 1-3 demonstrated that 86% of the country’s population supports the organization of the Islamic Solidarity Games in Azerbaijan and only 8% of respondents don’t like this idea. 6% found it difficult to answer the question, abc.az cited Rey Monitoring Center as saying.

For comparison, in June only 83% of the population supported the Islamic Solidarity Games being held in 2017. 9% had a negative attitude and 8% found it difficult to answer the question.
