Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is unable to carry out the function of a regulator due to internal political differences and needs to be reformed.
This opinion was expressed by the president of "LUKOIL" Vagit Alekperov in an interview by to the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag, published today, TASS reports.
"OPEC must be reformed," Alekperov said. "It must develop new instruments in order to coordinate the actions (of exporting countries) between them," he added.
