The pre-election situation in Azerbaijan is stable, the President's Aide for Public and Political Affairs, Ali Hasanov, said in an interview with ANS.
"I think that the pre-election situation in Azerbaijan is stable, civil society initiatives are quite active. There is an atmosphere of dialogue and mutual understanding between socio-political institutions," ANS cited him as saying.
Hasanov stressed that the main criterion for elections is the Azerbaijani voter and the people of Azerbaijan. "We conduct the elections to implement the people's requests. The people elect their attorney, the president and chairman of the municipality. And at each elections we primarily rely on the opinion, the will and the position of the Azerbaijani people," the President's Aide said.
