A new director general of the Turkish State Railways (TCDD), which operates under the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, has been appointed.
Former assistant director general Ali İhsan Uygun has been appointed to this position, according to Turkish media.
The reason for the dismissal of former TCDD Director General Isa Apaydin has not been revealed.
