Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"During talks in a narrow format we discussed in detail all aspects of relations both in economics and politics, as well as the regional and international situation," TASS cited the Kazakh leader as saying.

According to Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan and India have great potential for developing trade and economic cooperation.

"Our countries have a similar agenda, great potential in the trade and economic sphere, long-term friendly ties, cultural and historical ties," he said, adding that all this makes Kazakhstan and India "fraternal peoples close in spirit."
