Azerbaijani gymnast Marina Durunda is the favorite of competitions in rhythmic gymnastics at the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku, the Uzbek gymnast Anastasia Serdyukova said, speaking with the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza.
"Undoubtedly, Azerbaijan's Marina Durunda is the strongest contender in this tournament," she said.
Anastasia Serdyukova highly appreciated the level of organization of the Islamic Solidarity Games and gymnastic infrastructure in Baku. "There are awesome conditions for gymnastics here. It is great in Baku, it is very comfortable to train and perform here," the gymnast confessed.
According to her, the level of competitions at the Islamic Solidarity Games is close to the level of the Olympics. "It's probably the same as the Olympics, only with fewer athletes. But these are also very important competitions," Anastasia Serdyukova concluded.
The 4th Islamic Solidarity Games started May 8 and will last until May 22 in Baku on 16 sports grounds in 20 sports – 17 Olympic ones and three non-Olympic ones.
