Ankara, Baku ready to supply Hungary with gas

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the readiness of Azerbaijan and Türkiye to supply gas to Hungary through the TANAP pipeline. He noted that Ankara and Baku are moving towards this goal.

Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the readiness of Ankara and Baku to supply Hungary with gas through the TANAP pipeline.

At a meeting with Hungarian president Katalin Novak, he noted that Türkiye is helping Azerbaijan with gas supplies through TANAP. According to him, Ankara and Baku are resolutely moving towards the goal.

In turn, the Hungarian president stated the importance of gas supplies through the Turkish Stream, which supplies gas from the Russian Federation. Novak called Ankara an important provider of Hungary's energy security and stressed the key role of the Turkish Stream.

TANAP is the Trans-Anatolian pipeline, part of the Southern Gas Corridor system, the length of which is 1,850 km.
