Tactical anti-terrorist exercises took place in the Andijan region of Uzbekistan. The drills involved units of the Uzbek Defense Ministry, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the National Security Service and other agencies of the country, the country’s Emergency Situations Ministry stated.
The Emergencies Ministry said the exercises were organized based on the realities of modernity and the challenges posed by international terrorist organizations and gangs. Scenarios, such as preventing terrorist threats, emergencies, fire containment and evacuation of residents, were worked out during the drills, Trend reports.
According to the plan of the exercises, the premises of a military unit was seized by conditional terrorists, who were neutralized through joint measures.
