Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul-Gheit, will arrive in Moscow on a working visit next week. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will hold talks with him, a spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said, pointing out that the political contacts between the Russian Federation and the League of Arab States is of stable and regular character.
She noted that the visit of the Secretary General of the League of Arab States will be held on July 4-6. On July 5, he is expected to meet with Sergey Lavrov to thoroughly discuss the situation in Syria, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, the crisis over Qatar, as well as the problems of the Palestinian-Israeli settlement .
"The issues of further development of cooperation between Russia and the Arab League in the economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres will also be considered," the diplomat said.
