Armenian economy minister Artsvik Minasyan said that Armenia’s exports to Russia totaled $168 million in the first half of this year and that there is room for building up them.
According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, the country’s exports to the Eurasian Economic Union member countries have grown 83.7% over the first six month of this year to $174.6 million, ARKA reports.
Minasyan thinks that this indicator give grounds for optimism and assumption that the authorities and business people of Armenia have managed to overcome problems in perception of procedures of export to the Eurasian Economic Union countries.
“It is possible to expect further growth of exports to the Eurasian Economic Union, especially to Russia,” he said.
