The situation in Armenia's retail trade has further deteriorated in recent years, according to data of the National Statistical Service of the Republic.
The retail turnover in the country decreased by 6.5 billion drams (about $ 13.2 million), or 8.3%, in comparison with January 2015. Thus, if we consider the figures of Armenian shops, you will find that their turnover decreased by 3.7 billion drams (about $ 7.5 million) or 16%.
This situation is caused by a decline in the purchasing power of the Armenian population, News.am reports.
