Syrian President Bashar Assad sent a telegram to Iran’s government congratulating it on reaching the final nuclear deal.
Assad described the deal as “a great victory” achieved by Iran, “Indubitably, this agreement crowns the steadfastness of the Iranian people, with all their components and inclinations, in the face of the unfair sanctions that were imposed on the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he said.
The signing of this agreement constitutes a “major turning point” in the history of Iran, the region and the world, President al-Assad said.
