Members of the the Nineveh Plain Protection Units (NPU) took control of two villages north of the Iraqi city of Mosul, the NPU commander said.
"We will continue the offensive, we plan to regain all the Assyrian villages seized by militants. We plan to take control of three more small villages and towns," TASS cited him as saying.
The commander noted that, according to the reached agreements with Baghdad, the Assyrians will regain control over their villages in the north and north-west of Mosul.
