Today the Azerbaijani Central Electoral Commission is completing the filing of applications for candidates to the Parliament (Milli Majlis) of the country, which will be held November 1st.
According the chairman of the CEC, Mazahir Panahov, currently 700 candidates from more than 1.7 thousand people who applied for signature sheets, were registered. "Today, 6 candidates on average are struggling for one deputy mandate. According to forecasts, 10 people will struggle for one deputy chair," the head of the CEC said. He said that the date of registration of the candidates will expire on October 9 and then the election campaign will be started, TASS reports.
