An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 points was registered in the north-west of Azerbaijan , the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences' Republican Seismological Service said.
Shocks were recorded at 22:40 local time on the territory of Zagatala region.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 12 kilometers, the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza reported.
There has been no information about possible victims or damage.
