Azerbaijan's magazine "Historical Personality" named Russian President Vladimir Putin as "the person of the year" in 2017.
The editor-in-chief Khalila Gahramanov said that this was a collegial decision. The magazine's editorial board highly estimates the level of Azerbaijani-Russian relations and Putin's personal role, he stressed.
In 2016, the magazine recognized Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as "the person of the year", Interfax-Azerbaijan recalls.
