Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov attended a roundtable on energy security within the framework of the Munich Security Conference, the republic's foreign ministry said.
During the discussion, the participants discussed actual issues of energy security.
Emphasizing Azerbaijan's role in ensuring Europe's energy security, the diplomat spoke about the Southern Gas Corridor and the strategic importance of the TANAP and TAP projects in this respect.
Mammadyarov recalled that work on the TANAP project is going according to plan and that the project will be launched this year.
The minister briefed the participants about the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council’s 4th ministerial meeting held in Baku, as well as about the decisions reached during that meeting.
