Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree pardoning 148 prisoners on the eve of the Nowruz holiday.
Under the decree, 137 people sentenced to imprisonment have been freed from serving the remainder of their prison terms, 6 people were freed from the remainder of their correctional labor and 5 people were freed from penalties in the form of fines, TASS reports.
