Azerbaijani cotton growers to receive benefits

The government of Azerbaijan will support cotton growers using concessional lending, the Minister of Economy and Industry, Shahin Mustafayev, said at a conference titled 'Experience of Azerbaijan and Turkey in the development of promising areas of agriculture'.

"We are negotiating with these companies to urge them to offer a better price to cotton growers," the head of department noted.

He added that the government also intends to increase the volume of concessional lending to entrepreneurs engaged in cotton growing.

"It is necessary to improve the access of cotton growers to finance," Trend cited Mustafayev as saying.
